Arson At Magnolia Middle School Under Investigation
Anyone with information about the arson at the building owned by Harford County Public Schools is asked to contact the fire marshal.

JOPPA, MD — A fire in the boys' bathroom at a school in Joppa was ruled an arson. The incident at Magnolia Middle School occurred Friday, May 3, and did not damage the building, officials said.
A staff member discovered that someone had set items ablaze in the first-floor boys' bathroom, according to investigators. The fire in the 200 block of Fort Hoyle Road was reported at 1:38 p.m. on Friday and did not require a response by the fire department, authorities said.
There were no injuries, and there was no structural damage, according to the Office of the Chief Fire Marshal, which reported there was about $50 in damage to items in the bathroom.

The Magnolia Middle School fire was the second bathroom arson in two months in buildings owned by Harford County Public Schools.
