MARYLAND — New restaurants, a rec center, apartments and more are coming to Maryland. Plus, the nation's largest brick-and-mortar retailer is closing a store. Conrad's Seafood Restaurant is moving to a new location just down the block in Perry Hall, while the Barbie Truck will be on Bethesda Lane across the way from Apple on March 30.
Anne Arundel County is planning to spend about $11.5 million on a proposed recreation center, while nearly 300 apartments will be built to replace a former Hunt Valley hotel.

Seafood Restaurant Moving To New Location In Perry Hall
Conrad's Seafood Restaurant will open at its new location just down the block in Perry Hall March 18. The seafood staple is moving 0.2 miles from 9654 Belair Road to 9629 Belair Road.

Walmart Closing Baltimore County Store
Walmart is closing its Towson Place store, including the pharmacy, on April 5. The company announced the news in a Wednesday press release. Pharmacy staff will work with patients to transfer their prescriptions to a nearby Walmart. This Walmart has 207 employees.
Dat Jerk Caribbean Chargrill Coming To Mall
Dat Jerk Caribbean Chargrill will open in Columbia this month. This will be the fourth location for the restaurant, which offers authentic Caribbean dishes. The restaurant has locations in Lansdowne, Glenarden and Waldorf.
New Recreation Center Could Cost Millions In Vacant Giant Store
The county announced last month that it's in the process of buying the former Giant Food grocery store at 3130 Solomons Island Road. Crews plan to convert the currently vacant building into a recreation center.
