Bel Air Armory Celebrates 100 Years
Guest speaker, food, entertainment are on tap for 100-year anniversary celebration of Bel Air's Main Street icon.
The Bel Air Reckord Armory is having a 100-year anniversary party this weekend, and the public is invited.
The celebration is an open house type event on Saturday night, with a guest speaker and refreshments inside Main Street’s castle-like structure.
Originally, the armory was built in 1915 to house the National Guard.

The town of Bel Air acquired the building in 2004 and has since renovated it so that it may be used for various events, such as the annual chocolate festival and spring fling.
Local historian Carol Deibel, author of the Bel Air Chronicles, will be the guest speaker at Saturday’s celebration. Live music and dancing are also on the entertainment agenda.

Vagabond Sandwich Company will provide food, and a cash bar will be available.
The Town of Bel Air, Maryland State Arts Council, Bel Air Downtown Alliance and Harford County Public Library are sponsoring the event.
The Bel Air Armory’s 100th anniversary celebration will be from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14. Admission is free. The event will be at the armory, 37 N. Main Street, Bel Air.
