Bel Air Chocolate and Candy Festival: PHOTOS
Cakes, candies and crowds filled the Bel Air Armory over the weekend.
The 14th annual Bel Air Chocolate and Candy Festival added an extra dash of sweetness to Main Street over the weekend.
Approximately 2,500 people attended Saturday’s festival, a “very good turnout,” according to Christine McPherson, executive director for the Bel Air Downtown Alliance.
“It was great to see the community out, and the wonderful weather helped,” McPherson told Bel Air Patch.

Saturday was the first time in several days temperatures were above freezing, and piles of snow were thawing outside the Bel Air Armory, where the festival took place.
Before the doors opened at 10 a.m., there was a line outside, McPherson said, and the crowd didn’t let up until about 2 p.m. The festival ended at 3 p.m.

Those who missed the chocolate festival can still get their fix.
Wockenfuss Candies, which operates a chocolate factory on Harford Road (and sells its products at stores in White Marsh, Columbia, Bel Air, Ocean City and Parkville), is hosting a tour with tastings this weekend. The third annual chocolate factory tour will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 14. The factory is at 6831 Harford Road in Parkville.
