Bel Air To Welcome 3 New Commissioners: Official Election Results
Three new commissioners will be sworn in at Bel Air Town Hall on Nov. 18.

BEL AIR, MD — The 2019 election results are official. The town of Bel Air will welcome three new members to its board of town commissioners. They will be sworn in at the Nov. 18 town meeting.
Donna L. Kahoe, Kevin M. Bianca and Erin S. Hughes are the commissioners elect.
All three were the projected winners the night of the Nov. 4 municipal election.

Here are the official Bel Air election results, after a canvass of absentee and provisional ballots:
- Donna L. Kahoe: 396 votes
- Kevin M. Bianca: 291 votes
- Erin S. Hughes: 268 votes
- William S. Kelly: 240 votes
- James V. "Capt’n Jim" McMahan: 227 votes
- Daniel W. Gray: 217 votes
- Michael D. Kutcher: 198 votes
- Philip L. Einhorn: 196 votes
- James C. Lockard: 131 votes
- Seven votes went to write-in candidates
Voter turnout was 11 percent, according to Bel Air Director of Administration and Town Clerk Michael L. Krantz. It was a dramatic increase that more than doubled the previous election. Turnout was 5 percent in the 2017 election and 5.72 percent in the 2015 election.

There were 7,669 eligible voters registered as of Oct. 22, according to Bel Air officials.
Since 809 voters cast their ballots on Election Day and 27 absentee ballots as well as two provisional ballots were received, there were a total of 838 participants in the election.
