BEL AIR, MD — Voters in the town of Bel Air chose their new commissioners Tuesday, and the turnout was up significantly from years past. More than 800 people hit the polls for the 2019 election, compared with 370 who turned out in 2017 and 376 who voted on Election Day in 2015, according to election officials.

There were 809 voters who cast their ballots at Town Hall on Hickory Avenue in Bel Air Tuesday, according to Stephanie Taylor of the Harford County Board of Elections.

Three positions were up for a vote on the Bel Air Board of Town Commissioners. Nine candidates ran in the non-partisan election, one of whom was an incumbent — Philip L. Einhorn.
