Bel Air Man Charged in Bank Robbery: Police

Authorities allege a Bel Air man robbed a bank in Havre de Grace last month while wearing a ski mask.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD – A Bel Air man has been charged in connection with a bank robbery, according to the Havre de Grace Police Department.

Richard Arthur Coss, 38, of the 500 block of West Ring Factory Road, was arrested at an Edgewood area hotel at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 1, police reported.

Coss was charged with armed robbery, robbery, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and theft in connection with the Jan. 19 robbery of BB&T Bank in the 200 block of Market Street in Havre de Grace, officials said.

In the robbery, the suspect went into the bank wearing a ski mask, handed the teller a note, implied he had a weapon and left with cash, according to police.

Police said Coss was taken to the Harford County Detention Center, where he was processed and released on bail.
