Bel Air Man Cited In Deadly Hit-And-Run On Main Street
Police said a truck suspected in the fatal crash on Main Street is being processed, and the driver is in custody.

BEL AIR, MD — A Bel Air man has been charged in the hit-and-run death of a pedestrian on Main Street, according to authorities. Police said the suspect was arrested the day after the deadly crash.
The victim — Alessandro "Alex" Lori, 24, previously of Bel Air — was hit on South Main Street in downtown Bel Air shortly after midnight Wednesday, officials said.
Police said Lori appeared to have been dragged by the vehicle after he was hit.

James Joshua Wallace, 26, of the 2500 block of Conowingo Road, is charged with the following:
- Failure to stop vehicle at the scene of an accident involving injury
- Failure to immediately return and remain at the scene of an accident involving bodily injury
- Failure to immediately stop vehicle at the scene of an accident involving death
- Failure to report an accident involving a death to the nearest police
- Failure to immediately return and remain at the scene of an accident involving death
Court records show the crash occurred at 12 South Main Street.

Witnesses told investigators a dark-colored truck hit Lori, then kept driving. Lori was in the road when he was hit, and the investigation around the circumstances is ongoing.
Lori was taken to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased, according to police.
Wallace was arrested at his home at 1 p.m. on Thursday without incident by Bel Air police and the Harford County Sheriff's Office, according to authorities.
The Bel Air Police Department is continuing the investigation, including processing a blue 2003 Ford F-150 that officials allege hit Lori.
Officials said Friday that Wallace was at the Harford County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
