YORK COUNTY, PA — A plane owned by someone from Bel Air reportedly crashed Tuesday afternoon in York County, Pennsylvania. The crash occurred about 25 miles north of Bel Air.
The Federal Aviation Administration was notified Thursday about the plane that landed in a field about 0.5 mile from Baublitz Airport, according to WGAL, the NBC affiliate in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
The plane is registered to Douglas A. Jones of Rock Spring Road, Federal Aviation Administration records show. It is described as a Luscombe single-engine plane from the 1940s that somehow landed in a farmer's field.
