Bomb Squad Recovers Grenade in Fallston: Fire Marshal
The grenade was determined to be inert, the Office of the State Fire Marshal reports.

The bomb squad responded to a home in Fallston Tuesday where a resident discovered a grenade, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
The homeowner, who recently purchased the residence in the 400 block of Mountain Road, was cleaning out the basement when she found an AN-M14 incendiary grenade, the fire marshal reported.
The bomb squad was called to the home before 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1, the report said.
Within half an hour, authorities had inspected the device, determined it was not functional and cleared the scene, according to the report, which said fire department response was not required.
The Office of the State Fire Marshal said the grenade would be disposed of at a later date.
