No Explosives Found After Edgewood Bomb Threat: Sheriff

After a bomb threat was reported at Kohl's distribution center, the Harford County Sheriff's Office has given the all-clear.

EDGEWOOD, MD — The Kohl's distribution center in Edgewood received a bomb threat Monday morning, according to authorities. Part of Trimble Road was closed for about six hours.

"‪We have completed the sweep of the Kohl’s Distribution Center," the Harford County Sheriff's Office reported before 2:45 p.m. "No explosive devices were located. Units will be clearing the scene shortly."

Deputies were dispatched to the 1700 block of Trimble Road for a bomb threat at the Kohl's distribution center at 8:08 a.m., according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

The building was evacuated, officials said, and Trimble Road was closed from MD 152/Magnolia Road to MD 24/Emmorton Road as authorities investigated the threat.

Officials said Trimble Road reopened after 2 p.m.

This is the second bomb threat in Edgewood in a little more than two months.

There was a bomb threat in Edgewood in late September directed at a church, which resulted in charges against an Abingdon man. He is currently undergoing an evaluation regarding his competency to stand trial, according to court records.
