Bombas Official Donates 400 Pairs of Socks to Support Harford County’s Annual “SOCKtober” Drive
Local resident and Bombas CFO Nick Carrillo donates 400 pairs of socks to help those in need.

Harford County’s annual “SOCKtober” collection drive recently received a donation of 400 pairs of socks from Harford County resident Nick Carrillo, who is also the chief financial officer for sock retailer Bombas. Carrillo made the donation on behalf of the company to help local individuals and families in need.
Now in its tenth year, Harford’s SOCKtober collection drive is sponsored by Harford County Government in partnership with Harford County Public Library and We Cancerve, a youth-led foundation that creates opportunities to support homeless, sick, and foster children. The donations of new socks, hats, mittens, and gloves of all sizes are distributed to local individuals and families in need and to local veterans’ organizations.
SOCKtober collection boxes are located in county government buildings, including parks and recreation facilities, senior centers, and all public libraries—as well as at Guttman Holdings Company in Bel Air and Citizens Care Center in Havre de Grace through October 31. Anyone wishing to donate after October 31 can contact the Harford County Department of Housing and Community Services at 410-638-3045.

“I would like to thank Nick and Bombas for this generous donation to our SOCKtober collection drive,” County Executive Bob Cassilly said. “With the help of all our donors, we’ll bring warmth in the cold winter months to those in need.”
