Local Baton Twirling Contest on March 10th
Local Baton Twirling Team to Host Competition

Harford County will get a taste of what some like to call the first true "girl sport" when the TwirlTasTix Baton and Dance Teams of Bel Air play host to the Shamrock Baton Twirling Contest on March 10th at the Highlands School on Creswell Road. This will be the 4th annual contest held by the TwirlTasTix, featuring the Andrea Birdcreek Memorial College Solo, which provides the winner with a commemorative plaque and cash prize. The scholarship event honors former baton twirling champion and coach who lost her battle with breast cancer 6 years ago. The contest will host twirlers from Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia and farther!
The Shamrock Baton Twirling Contest is FREE to the public and begins at 9:00 am starting with the team competition. At 11:30 the individual events are expected to start, featuring novice twirlers as young as 4 years old to advanced and elite twirlers who are in college. Some of the elite twirlers will be attending the Baton Twirling World Championships later this Spring in Switzerland.
