While some details have come to light, the fire at Buffalo Wild Wings in Bel Air Sunday afternoon remains under investigation Sunday evening, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
At 12:23 p.m. on Sunday, an employee discovered fire in the restaurant’s kitchen at 5 Bel Air South Parkway in the Festival at Bel Air shopping center, the fire marshal said in a report.

Grease caused the blaze, which began in the deep fryer of the restaurant’s kitchen, the fire marshal reported. The fire caused $50,000 in damage, according to the report.
Fire marshals were continuing to investigate an employee who did not cooperate in the investigation, the report said.
The employee “did not listen to firefighters’ commands to remove himself from the premises and subsequently interfered with their duties while actively fighting the fire,” according to the fire marshal’s report.
