Aberdeen Man Charged In Stabbing After Hotel Barricade: Police
An Aberdeen man faces charges in the non-fatal stabbing of a Georgia man that happened Oct. 3 in Belcamp.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — An Aberdeen man has been charged in connection with the stabbing of Tommy Gene Boone, 62,of Georgia.
According to the Harford County Sheriff's Office, Timothy Mark Humes, 30, of Aberdeen inflicted non-fatal stab wounds to Boone's upper body Oct. 3 in Belcamp. Sheriff's deputies were notified of a stabbing victim arriving at Harford Memorial Hospital for treatment at approximately 2:24 p.m.
The initial investigation indicates Boone and Humes knew each other. On Oct. 3, Boone and Humes went to the Riverside Shopping Center where their disagreement escalated and Humes stabbed Boone. Humes left the area and Boone drove himself to the Holiday Inn located in the 1300 block of Policy Drive, Belcamp, where he was staying. Boone then went to Harford Memorial Hospital for treatment, according to the sheriff's office.

Charges were filed against Humes in connection to the stabbing and a warrant was issued for his arrest. On Oct. 4 shortly after 2 p.m., deputies were notified that Humes’ vehicle had been seen at the Holiday Inn. Deputies located Humes who had barricaded himself in a second-floor room of the hotel.
Deputies secured the area and evacuated the floor. Deputies assigned to the special response team of the Harford County Sheriff’s Office responded and members of the crisis negotiation team tried to deflate the situation. After several hours of conversation with Humes, shortly after 5:30 p.m., members of the special response team entered the room and took Humes into custody without incident, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

Humes has been charged with first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and dangerous weapon with intent to injure.
