To Be Clean or Not in Colonial Times

To be Clean…or Not...in the 18th Century! Susan Wooden

The Hays House Museum, 324 Kenmore Avenue, Bel Air, MD 21014

July 26th 1 pm

We take regular showers and running water for granted these days, but think back to a time when everyone made their own soap and no corner grocery store was available. How did people survive regular daily ablutions? Join us for a  lively presentation with a bit of show & tell about the mechanics of cleanliness and hygiene in the days before indoor plumbing, toilet paper, bath gel, shampoo & conditioner, toothpaste, and terry cloth

Registration required. Members Free. Non-Members $5 at harfordhistory.org
