HARFORD COUNTY, MD – With possibly a foot of snow in the forecast, students in Harford County will be staying home for a snow day on Wednesday, March 21. Authorities from Harford County Public Schools gave the notice Tuesday night that classes would be canceled and schools would be closed on Wednesday.
Harford County Public Schools will be on code green on Wednesday, March 21, officials said. Under code green conditions, schools and offices are closed, and day care and evening activities are canceled. Only essential personnel report, with no second shift custodians on duty. Code green employees are advised to await instructions before reporting.

- Harford Community College and TUNE are closed.
- Harford County government offices are closed. Critical employees should report based on policy.
- Harford County Public Library branches are closed on Wednesday, March 21.
- Harford Day School is closed.
- Harford LINK buses are not in service.
- John Carroll School is closed.
- Trinity Lutheran Christian School is closed.
- APG is closed. The Wise Road gate on APG-South (Edgewood) will be closed Wednesday and reopen upon the installation returning to normal operations. The Hoadley Road (Route 24) gate will remain open.
- Town of Bel Air government offices are closed.
- Aberdeen City Hall will open at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 21. May change pending weather.
- Havre de Grace City Hall will open at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 21. Liberal leave policy is in effect for non-emergency employees. Emergency essential employees should report as scheduled.

A winter storm warning is effective from 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20, to 8 p.m. on Wednesday March 21, that calls for 8 to 14 inches of snow.
A snow emergency plan took effect for Harford County as of 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20, meaning people may not park on roads designated as snow emergency routes.
Schools closed three hours early Tuesday, as did libraries in Harford County, due to a wintry mix.
