Harford County Weather Closings For Tuesday, March 20
Students will be dismissed earlier than usual in Harford County due to weather. See what other schedules are changing.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD – Due to inclement weather, all Harford County Public Schools will be closing two hours early on Tuesday, March 20, school officials announced Tuesday morning. The announcement came as a wintry mix was falling countywide. Afternoon prekindergarten and alternative education programs are canceled. After-school activities, including field trips and athletic events, are also canceled.

Harford County Public Library locations will be closing at 3 p.m. Branches in the northern part of the county (Darlington, Jarrettsville, Norrisville and Whiteford) closed by 12:30 p.m.

Harford County is under a winter weather advisory until 8 p.m. on Tuesday for snow, sleet and freezing rain. Snow and sleet accumulations may add up to anywhere from a coating to 3 inches, with ice up to 0.1 inch, according to the National Weather Service.
A winter storm watch goes into effect for Harford County at midnight on Wednesday, with several inches of snow expected by Wednesday evening.
