Community Can Weigh In On Proposed Harford County Budget In January

The community can provide input about Harford County's proposed FY2025 budget this month. A state of the county address will be Jan. 9.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — The community can provide input about Harford County's proposed budget via email or postal mail now through Jan. 31.

On Jan. 9, Harford County Executive Bob Cassilly will deliver his second state of the county address at 7 p.m. at Harford County Council Chambers, 212 S. Bond St., in Bel Air.

A town hall meeting for in-person comments will be held at 6 p.m. Jan. 23 in Darlington Hall, Room 202, on the campus of Harford Community College in Bel Air. The meeting will include in-person testimony, a public reading of some emails received before and during the meeting, and opportunities for citizens to call in comments through a dedicated phone line. The town hall will be broadcast on HarfordTV and stream live on the county website.

“I know that families are busy and it isn’t always easy to get to a meeting,” Cassilly said. “These options for public comment allow citizens to share their county budget priorities in whatever way is best for them. Our main goal is to help the public provide input on the budget that’s funded by their tax dollars.”
