Counterfeiter Struck Bel Air Business: Harford Sheriff

BEL AIR, MD — Authorities are looking for help identifying a man who used counterfeit bills at two Harford County businesses at the end of October. One of the locations was in Bel Air.
The man allegedly used counterfeit money to pay for his purchase at the Chipotle in The Festival at Bel Air. He also exchanged other counterfeit bills for legitimate currency while at the restaurant in the unit block of Bel Air South Parkway on Sunday, Oct. 22, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
The same man did the exact same thing at Bill Bateman's in the 2000 block of Pulaski Highway in Havre de Grace on Monday, Oct. 30, officials said.

"Businesses beware!" the Harford County Sheriff's Office advised in a statement on Monday, Nov. 6. "This man has passed counterfeit bills at least two times in Harford County recently."
