2 Crashes Blocked Lanes Near MD 543
Emergency officials were called to two crashes on Interstate 95 south Sunday in the same spot in Harford County.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A crash on Interstate 95 south slowed traffic Sunday afternoon in Harford County near the exit for MD 543. It was the second in as many hours that drew emergency personnel to the scene.
Six vehicles were involved in the crash, which transportation officials said happened after 2 p.m. on I-95 south past the exit for MD 543. All lanes were blocked except the far right lane after the collision. By 3:10 p.m., the Maryland Transportation Authority reported all lanes had reopened.
A crash happened in the exact same area approximately two-and-a-half hours earlier. Before noon, the Maryland Transportation Authority reported there had been a collision blocking the left lanes on I-95 south past MD 543 during a brief snow squall that limited visibility.
