Miles Of Backups After I-95 Crash Near MD 24: Officials

A single-vehicle crash snarled traffic on I-95 south in Harford County during rush hour on Monday.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A single-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 near Route 24 snarled traffic headed south Monday afternoon in Harford County.

The crash occurred before 4:15 p.m. on I-95 south before the exit for Route 24, transportation officials reported. It resulted in miles and nearly two hours of delays.

Two lanes were closed on I-95 south, with the left lane getting by after 4:30 p.m.

By 5 p.m., one lane had reopened, and there was a 4-mile backup, the Maryland Transportation Authority reported.

As of 6 p.m., the crash had reportedly cleared.
