2 Crashes Snarl Traffic on I-95 North: MDTA

BREAKING: There are delays on I-95 north past White Marsh into Harford County, officials report.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Drivers headed to Harford County Friday evening from the Baltimore area are facing a double whammy if they are taking Interstate 95 north.

First, a crash at around 5 p.m. caused backups in the area of I-95 north past MD 43/White Marsh Boulevard. The two-vehicle crash had the right lane and right shoulder blocked but cleared before 5:25 p.m.

There was another crash ahead, the Maryland Transportation Authority cautioned commuters.

On I-95 north past the exit for MD 152/Mountain Road, officials said three vehicles collided after 5 p.m. in the area of mile marker 75. The right lane and right shoulder were blocked for cleanup.

By 5:40 p.m., the Maryland Transportation Authority said the crash had cleared. Even so, drivers were advised that backups had formed and there may be delays in the area.
