House Fire In Joppa Under Investigation: Officials
Crews from Baltimore and Harford counties worked to control fire Thursday night near the Gunpowder River.

JOPPA, MD — Crews battled fire at a house in Joppa Thursday evening that officials say is under investigation.
The Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company reported that its crew responded to the blaze in the 200 block of Kearney Drive before 6 p.m. and requested assistance from multiple fire companies.
Crews from White Marsh, APG and Kingsville responded. Firefighters were "aggressively fighting the fire" inside the home, according to Joppa-Magnolia.

Shortly after 6 p.m., the blaze was declared under control, officials reported. The fire marshal was called to investigate the cause and origin of the fire.
