Dog Rescued from House Fire: Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company

The cause of the blaze was under investigation, fire officials said.

A dog was treated for injuries due to a house fire in Bel Air Thursday afternoon, according to the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company.

At approximately 4 p.m., the fire company reported that it was working on an active house fire in the 1000 block of Rock Spring Road with crews from Fallston and Jarrettsville. Roads in the area were shut down temporarily during the firefighting operations, according to the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

While smoke and heat damage were present throughout the residence, crews were able to contain the blaze to the kitchen, according to the report.

By 4:30 p.m., the fire was under control, the association reported, and by 5 p.m., crews had cleared the scene.

Firefighters took one dog to the emergency vet for treatment of burns, the report said.
