Donnie Wahlberg Tips $500 At Edgewood Waffle House
The star raved about 'awesome service' at the Waffle House in Harford County, where he stopped while on tour for a late-night meal.
EDGEWOOD, MD — Celebrity Donnie Wahlberg made an impression during a late-night visit to Harford County this week. The "Blue Bloods" actor and New Kids On The Block singer was between shows when his tour bus stopped at Waffle House in Edgewood.
After filling up on Waffle House fare, Wahlberg reportedly left a $500 tip.
"Thanks for the awesome service!" he tweeted, with a picture of two staff members by his side.

"He was apparently really awesome," a server told People magazine, stating she hadn't been there for his appearance but when she showed up for her shift at 6 a.m., the night crew was still buzzing about it.
A receipt posted on Twitter indicated Wahlberg left the Waffle House in the 1800 block of Edgewood Road around 3:04 a.m. on Monday, June 26. His bill was $62.75, but he added $500 on as a tip.

"I cried," their server, Angi Silen, told The Aegis, stating she had been struggling financially. Silen and two others working overnight at Waffle House Sunday reportedly split the tip three ways.
Wahlberg, who grew up as one of nine children in a cash-strapped household, recently shared a list of things he tries to do every day to reduce the risk of being a jerk, including "remember where I come from."
At the top of his list: "Be kind."

The act of kindness at Waffle House aligns with the message relayed in one of the New Kids On The Block's new songs, "Thankful," for which the band recently released a video incorporating its gratitude for fans.
Wahlberg's stop at the Edgewood Waffle House, less than 0.5 mile off Interstate 95, came after the New Kids On The Block performed at the Verizon Center with Boys II Men and Paula Abdul, as part of their Total Package Tour. Once they performed Sunday night in Washington, D.C., the musicians headed to New York for their next performance.
