Driver Died In Route 22 Crash: Police
The crash near Aldino Road was one of multiple deadly collisions in the past few days, Maryland State Police reported.

CHURCHVILLE, MD - One driver died following the two-vehicle crash that closed MD 22 Thursday afternoon, according to police.
Audrey Potter, 67, of Galena succumbed to her injuries despite attempts by troopers and medics to save her, officials reported Friday.
Police said that the Kent County woman was driving a 2014 silver Nissan Versa that hit an SUV head-on near Aldino Road at 3:32 p.m. on Thursday.

Based upon the preliminary investigation, police said that Potter was headed east on Route 22 east of Aldino Road when she drove over the center line into oncoming traffic. Her car hit a 2017 black Hyundai Santa Fe, which subsequently overturned and came to rest about 10 feet off the road, according to officials.
Amy Orem, 32, of Aberdeen, who was driving the Santa Fe, was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center by ambulance, and so was the Versa passenger Albert Caputo Jr. of Aberdeen, police reported.

Authorities said Route 22 was closed for approximately two hours for the investigation, which was conducted by troopers from the Bel Air barrack.
The crash in Churchville was one of several deadly collisions handled by Maryland State Police in the past few days, officials said.
"Troopers have responded to at least 4 fatal collisions in last 36 hrs," Maryland State Police tweeted Friday. "@MDSP is urging motorists, pedestrians, to be safe on the roads."
