Earthquake Felt In Parts Of Baltimore, Harford, Carroll Counties
Some in Maryland experienced an earthquake that originated Wednesday in Pennsylvania, based on preliminary reports to the USGS.
MARYLAND — An earthquake that hit Mifflintown, Pennsylvania, was also felt in parts of Maryland. According to the U.S. Geological Survey's crowdsourced intensity map, people in Baltimore, Carroll, Frederick and Harford counties reported they sensed the quake.
The 3.4 magnitude earthquake occurred around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, in Juniata County, Pennsylvania, according to the National Weather Service.
Reports came in from Jarrettsville, Pylesville and White Hall, as well as Monkton, Freeland, Manchester, Westminster and Frederick.
