Edgewood Man Charged in Homicide, Sheriff Says
The 26-year-old faces first-degree murder and other charges in connection with shooting that killed 21-year-old.

A 26-year-old has been charged in the death of a man on Grempler Way in Edgewood Tuesday night, according to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office.
Marvin Jahvon Smith, 26, of the 400 block of Burnley Drive in Edgewood, is facing homicide and gun-related charges after deputies found him running from the crime scene, the sheriff’s office reported.
K-9 and crime suppression deputies were on a traffic stop in the 1800 block of Brookside Drive when they heard multiple gunshots at approximately 10:50 p.m., the report said.

Upon investigation, they found Darius Eizayah Andrew, 21, on the sidewalk in the 1800 block of Grempler Way with a gunshot wound and provided first aid, according to the report.
Paramedics took Andrew to Upper Chesapeake, where he was pronounced deceased, according to the report.

Deputies from the southern precinct canvassed the area and found Smith running from the scene, the report said. He was taken into custody without incident and is being held without bail at the Harford County Detention Center, according to officials.
He is charged with first-degree murder, first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, use of a firearm to commit a felony, possessing a firearm with a felony conviction and illegally possessing a firearm, court records show. He has a preliminary hearing set for July 15 in Harford County District Court.
