Edgewood Man Charged With Murder After Shooting: Sheriff
A dispute between two Edgewood men left one deceased and another facing murder charges, authorities say.

EDGEWOOD, MD - The suspect is in custody in a deadly shooting that occurred in Edgewood on Thursday, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
The victim - Charles Pugh, 48, of Edgewood - was shot multiple times in the lower body and was airlifted to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where officials said he was pronounced deceased at 11:05 p.m.
The suspect - Derek Holder, 51, of the 600 block of Harr Park Court in Edgewood - has been charged with first-degree murder, among other offenses, and is being held without bail at the Harford County Detention Center, authorities reported Friday afternoon. Based on the preliminary investigation, officials said the two men had gotten into an argument in the 600 block of Harr Park Court Thursday when the situation escalated and Holder shot Pugh.
At the time of the shooting, the victim's vehicle accelerated in reverse and ran into a vehicle at the intersection of Harr Park Court and Cedar Drive, according to the sheriff's office.

Holder was taken into custody without incident, authorities said. He is being held without bail on charges of first and second-degree murder, first and second-degree assault, using a firearm in a felony crime and having a handgun on his person.
