Edgewood Popeyes Employees Robbed At Gunpoint: Sheriff
There was an armed robbery at the Edgewood Popeyes after closing time, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

EDGEWOOD, MD — Authorities are asking for information about an armed robbery that happened at the Edgewood Popeyes after closing time Friday. The suspects are described as two men who were wearing masks and dark clothing. One had a handgun, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
Officials were called to the restaurant in the 1000 block of Woodbridge Center Way at 11:38 p.m. for a report of an armed robbery.
Investigators said two men entered the restaurant through an unlocked door after it had closed, then confronted an employee with a handgun. They took cell phones and cash from several employees at the Popeyes, then left, according to the sheriff's office.

On Friday, the Edgewood Popeyes closes at 10:30 p.m. and the drive-through closes at 11 p.m.
The holdup came as Popeyes was abuzz following the Nov. 3 re-release of its chicken sandwich. There were long lines at restaurants nationwide and altercations at Maryland Popeyes locations, including a Nov. 4 fatal stabbing in Prince George's County and disturbances at the Edgewood Popeyes Nov. 3 and 5.
