Edgewood Replaces Stolen Toys for Tots Donations
Faculty, alumni and community members donated toys for children in need.
When they learned that there had been a theft from the Toys for Tots storage unit in their community, members of Edgewood High School came to the rescue.

Someone took approximately $1,000 worth of toys from the Toys for Tots storage facility in the 1800 block of Pulaski Highway in Edgewood between Friday, Dec. 18, and Saturday, Dec. 19, the Harford County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Edgewood High School tweeted a call for donations Monday to replace the stolen toys, which were meant to be Christmas gifts for children in need.

By Tuesday afternoon, Edgewood has received more than $1,000 from Edgewood alumni; $800 in donations from Edgewood High and Middle school faculty; and 10 boxes full of toys, according to Edgewood High School Principal Larissa Santos.
“This is what makes this community so amazing!” Santos said. “This is…We Are…I AM Edgewood!!!”
For those who would like to contribute, there is reportedly a donation drop-off at Starlite Plaza, 1812 Pulaski Highway, Edgewood.
