Second Stabbing In Two Days Reported In Edgewood
The stabbing on Thursday was the second in two days in Edgewood. In both cases, officials said victims had non-life-threatening injuries.

EDGEWOOD, MD - One person was injured in a stabbing in Edgewood Thursday afternoon, officials reported.
Authorities responded to the 500 block of Jamestown Court for a report of a stabbing at 12:23 p.m., said Cristie Kahler, spokeswoman for the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
One person was taken to a trauma center, while another was evaluated by Abingdon medics, according to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.

A woman was taken into custody, Kahler said. A man with minor injuries was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, she added.
The stabbing occurred less than 24 hours after another nonfatal stabbing in Edgewood. In that case, the suspect was taken into custody Wednesday night and charged with attempted murder. The stabbings that happened Wednesday and Thursday occurred less than 2 miles apart.

There were 286 aggravated assaults reported in Harford County in 2015, the most recent year for which data is available from the FBI. Aggravated assaults include those with weapons such as knives and guns.
There there were 273 aggravated assaults reported in Harford County in 2014, a decrease from the 306 aggravated assaults Harford reported in 2013, according to the FBI Uniform Crime Reporting.
