2d Annual "Let's Throw Together" Doubles Disc Golf Tournament to Benefit the Arthritis Foundation
The Scarboro Hills Disc Golf Club, in association with the Churchville Recreation Council, will host a charity doubles tournament on April 21, 2012 to benefit the Arthritis Foundation. This event is open to all ages, genders, and skill levels; particularly for people who are new to the sport, people afflicted with arthritis and their families.
When:
- Registration: 8-9 am (preregistered teams please check in by 8:50, if you're not checked in you could lose your spot)
- Player Meeting: 9:15 am
- Start: 9:30 am
Divisions: Maximum 40 teams
- Gold: $50 per team (experienced players)
- Silver: $50 per team (less experienced players/beginners)
- Family: $50 per team (Spouses, Parent/Child, Siblings, Aunt/Uncle and Niece/Nephew tandems, etc…

- Free Bagels for breakfast
- There will be a catered lunch option from Famous Dave's for $8 per person or $15 per team. 2 meats and 2 sides
- Other homemade goodies for sale.
Donations: We strongly encourage every team to match their registration fees with donations to the Arthritis Foundation. Prizes awarded to Top 3 donors. You do not have to donate on-line, we will be accepting donations day of tournament.
- Teams matching $50 registration fee will receive 2 event t-shirts.
- Teams donating $100 or more will receive 2 event t-shirts and 2 tournament stamped CryZtal discs.
- Custom Trophies for top 3 donors.

- 2 Reusable/waterproof scorecards with tournament logo
- 2 6x9 clear plastic clipboard with tournament sticker affixed
- 2 Custom Scarboro Hills Disc Golf towel with grommet hole and carabiner
Prizes:
- KEEN Footwear donated 2 gift certificates to any pair of their shoes in their inventory. This prize will be awarded to the winning team in the Gold Division.
- Scorpio Disc Golf will be on site. What does that mean for you? You'll be able to purchase any disc golf related item from their traveling pro shop.
- Received numerous donations from various companies to use as prizes for in-round competitions, Ring of Fire, etc.
- No Cash Prizes
Additional Skill Challenges:
- Ring of Fire in between rounds and if prizes are left over, after the rounds.
- In Round Mini-Disc Challenge. To spread the field out, we're adding 2 mini holes for a unique in round challenge. The mini challenge is a separate in round challenge and will not count towards your overall score.
- In Round Closest to Pin
Raffles/Silent Auction:
- Numerous items to raffle, including custom discs, and merchandise.
- Silent Auction - Innova Discarrier bag with quad straps and caddy pack seat, also adding some discs.
The focus is on fun and raising arthritis awareness. Pick your partner, bring a contagious smile, and come up to Scarboro Hills to shred the course and have a blast. We look forward to you joining us for this worthy cause.
