ShopRite Partners In Caring Day / Bag Hunger Day

In honor of September’s National Hunger Action Month, governors across six states including Maryland have issued proclamations declaring September 21st as “ShopRite Partners In Caring Day.” To recognize this special day, ShopRite stores will help bag hunger to raise awareness and funds for food banks in their local communities.

why: With nearly 50 million Americans, including 17 million children, suffering from food insecurity, ShopRite Partners In Caring is helping to raise awareness and inspire action within ShopRite’s local communities through hunger-fighting initiatives. Since its inception in 1999, ShopRite Partners In Caring has donated more than $27 million to local food banks that support 1,700 charities in providing food assistance. For the 3rd consecutive year, the Klein family is donating $10,000 PER KLEIN'S SHOPRITE STORE to the Maryland Food Bank, PLUS, for the 2nd consecutive year, 2% of all sales on September 21 to the Aegis Empty Stocking Fund!
