Family Argument Escalates To Stabbing, Manhunt: Harford County Sheriff's Office
A family argument in Jarrettsville led to an assault, stabbing and 14-hour manhunt, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — An argument between family members late Saturday night ended with a stabbing, foot chase and a warrant issued for the suspect's arrest.
Mark Daniel Pickett, 28, was taken into custody Sunday following a 14-hour manhunt that ended in the area of Camp Wo-Me-To in Jarrettsville. Deputies were called to the 3900 block of Rush Road at about 10:45 p.m. for a report of a domestic assault involving three people, According to the Harford County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies found a man with non-fatal stab wounds to the back of his head and his right leg. A woman had facial injuries from being physically assaulted. Both victims were taken to Wellspan York Hospital for treatment. Pickett had taken off on foot after the incident and deputies searched the area.

A warrant was issued for his arrest for attempted murder and first- and second-degree assault, the sheriff's office said. At 12:40 p.m. Sunday, officials announced that he had been taken into custody without incident.
