Festival At Bel Air Halloween Costume Parade To Draw Thousands

The schedule and prizes for the 2017 Festival at Bel Air Halloween parade are included in this guide.

BEL AIR, MD — The annual Halloween costume parade is coming up outside the Festival at Bel Air shopping center. All are welcome, and it's free to participate. Trick or treating and merchant deals will be available.

The event is billed as the county's largest. Thousands of costumed characters and their parents participate, and this marks the 29th year for the festivities.

The parade will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28, in the parking lot between Rite Aid and Uptown Cheapskate. Lineup starts at 10:30 a.m.

Those in costume will receive trick-or-treat bags and candy. Festival merchants will start handing out candy at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 28.

The top 10 finalists in the costume parade will receive prize bags with gifts, and the top three will get gift certificates to stores at the shopping center.

The grand prize is a $150 gift certificate, second-place is a $100 gift certificate and third place is a $75 gift certificate.

Lineup begins at 10:30 a.m., and the costume parade starts at 11 a.m. sharp on Saturday, Oct. 28, at the Festival at Bel Air, near Rite Aid, 5 Bel Air South Parkway, Bel Air. Trick or treating will start at 11 a.m. and continue at Festival merchants into the afternoon on Saturday, Oct. 28.
