Fire In Forest Hill Reported Thursday: Bel Air VFC
There was a fire reported at an apartment complex north of Bel Air Thursday morning, official said.
BEL AIR, MD — Firefighters handled a dryer fire in Forest Hill Thursday morning, according to the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company.
The fire was reported in the Lockhart Circle, Rich Gardiner of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company reported before 11 a.m.
According to Gardiner, crews from Jarrettsville, Fallston and Bel Air responded and there were no injuries. The fire was traced to a dryer.

Thousands of dryer fires occur annually, accounting for nearly 5 percent of all home structure fires, the National Fire Protection Association reports. The association found the leading cause of dryer fires was failure to clean them.
