Macphail Road Fire Under Investigation
Firefighters handled a house fire Sunday night in Bel Air.
BEL AIR, MD — A house fire that broke out in Bel Air Sunday night remains under investigation, authorities reported.
The blaze broke out around 9 p.m. at a single-family home in the 700 block of West Macphail Road, according to Jenn Chenworth, spokeswoman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.
When crews arrived, she said, there was fire showing from the home.

By 9:14 p.m., Chenworth reported the fire was declared under control. She said the fire marshal was investigating the cause of the blaze.
Nobody was injured in the basement fire, according to the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company, which responded along with several other fire companies in the area.
