JOPPA, MD — A mobile home caught fire Friday night in Joppa causing thousands of dollars in damage to the structure.

The fire at 107 Orsburn Drive was discovered by a neighbor around 7 p.m. Around 20 firefighters from the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Department responded to the call for help. The fire broke out in an interior bedroom and took approximately 30 minutes for firefighters to control, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.

The fire caused an estimated $50,000 in damage and remains under investigation, the fire marshal's office noted.
