Fire Alarm at Ring Factory Elementary Draws First Responders

Crews investigated situation at elementary school in Bel Air on Tuesday, fire company reported.

The Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company responded to Ring Factory Elementary School in Bel Air Tuesday for what turned out to be a water-related issue.

Crews were dispatched to the school when a fire alarm activated, according to Rich Gardiner of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company.

When they arrived, firefighters found a broken sprinkler pipe, Gardiner said.

This was the second school that had experienced broken pipes in Bel Air in two days. On Monday, the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company was called to Harford Day School for a similar issue.

School was not in session Monday due to Presidents Day and Tuesday due to snow.
