Firefighters Investigate Churchville Goodwill Haze

Smoke on the roof ended up being a haze, the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company reported.

Firefighters conducted a “lengthy investigation” on Churchville Road Sunday evening after a possible building fire was reported there, according to the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company, which did not find fire at the scene.

Crews responded to a report of smoke from the roof of Goodwill in the 2200 block of Churchville Road at 8:18 p.m., the fire company reported.

Once at the scene, firefighters found a haze inside the building and ultimately determined that cleaning equipment that employees were using was the cause, the report said.
