Forest Hill Center Under Construction Along MD 24
A 5-acre center including Royal Farms will be developed in the months ahead, commercial real estate company reports.
FOREST HILL, MD — Plans are taking shape for a new development called Forest Hill Center, to be located along MD 24 north of the Forest Valley Drive intersection. The development will be open for retail and food spaces starting this summer, according to MacKenzie Retail LLC.
A Royal Farms with gas station and car wash is slated for 1.5 acres of the 5-acre site, MacKenzie reports.
Upper Chesapeake affiliate Choice One Urgent Care has also signed a lease at Forest Hill Center, where real estate officials say 18,000 square feet of commercial space is being developed to meet demand.

The amenities coming to Forest Hill in the months ahead will give a boost to businesses that are already there, according to MacKenzie, which predicts customers will stay in the area rather than traveling to Bel Air for conveniences currently unavailable to them.
"The retail amenities of Forest Hill are unable to compete with the offerings of the neighboring Bel Air market," MacKenzie Vice President Sean Langford said in a statement. "...residents are traveling to outside areas for convenience items and quick-service retail offerings. Forest Hill Center will both complement and support these demands, enhancing the offerings of the Forest Hill market.”
