Forest Hill Knifepoint Robbery: Man Charged in Exxon Holdup

A 24-year-old was arrested in connection with a recent robbery on Rock Spring Road.

FOREST HILL, MD — Officials have identified the suspect in a recent knifepoint robbery in Forest Hill.

Gage Thomas German, 24, was charged in the Dec. 13 armed robbery at Exxon in the 2000 block of Rock Spring Road, according to Maryland State Police. He has been charged with armed robbery; robbery; first and second-degree assault; theft less than $1,000; and reckless endangerment.

In the Exxon robbery, police said the suspect entered the gas station at 1:30 p.m. with a knife, walked behind the counter, took cash and left. He was wearing navy-and-brown athletic shorts over gray sweatpants as well as a white sweater with brown stripes, a black hat and black Nike sneakers.

A warrant was issued Monday for the arrest of German, who police said had been seen panhandling in the Forest Hill area. By Tuesday, he was in custody and was being held on $100,000 bail, court records show.

German is slated to appear in Harford County District Court on Dec. 29 for a preliminary hearing.
