Harford County Bridge Closed For Repairs After Crash During Storm

DARLINGTON, MD — Authorities say a bridge in Harford County remains closed after it sustained damage from a truck crash. The Maryland State Highway Administration is overseeing the repairs on the bridge, which crosses over Deer Creek on MD 161/Darlington Road.

Weather permitting, the closure will last until later this week, according to authorities.

Contractors will install temporary concrete barriers on both sides of the bridge. Officials said damage was done to the walls on the bridge from a crash after 1 p.m. Monday that involved a tractor trailer.

Detours will be in place on MD 161 between US 1/Conowingo Road and MD 155/Level Road, according to state highway officials, via Route 1, MD 136/Priestford Road and Route 155.
