Harford County Parks & Rec Seeks Public Input on Needs Assessment
A needs assessment survey for Harford County Parks & Recreation is open online now through Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021.
Which Harford County Parks & Recreation programs are important to you? What kinds of park facilities would you like developed over the next five years? These questions and more are part of a needs assessment survey open online through Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021.
The survey asks about Harford County parks, facilities, and recreation programs countywide and takes about five minutes to complete.
Results from the survey will help update the Harford County Parks & Recreation Land Preservation, Parks, and Recreation Plan (LPPRP) and enable access to state funding for parkland acquisition and development through Program Open Space.

Goals in Harford’s 2022 LPPRP will focus on acquiring land and developing facilities, including land and water trails; ensuring the availability of program opportunities that encourage healthy lifestyles; addressing citizen/participant safety; incorporating appropriate environmental stewardship in departmental activities and projects; and incorporating technology to improve the park user experience.
Once the needs assessment survey is complete, Harford County Parks & Recreation will draft a plan that will be made available for public comment in early 2022. Ultimately, the 2022 LPPRP will be presented to the Harford County Council for final approval.
