The event will be March 29 in Edgewood.

Maryland celebrates Arbor Day on the first Wednesday in April, but Harford County is getting a jump on the event this year.

On March 29, there will be a tree planting at Edgewood Elementary School, coordinated by the Harford County Department of Planning and Zoning.

Volunteers will plant 630 trees during the event, which includes demonstrations, exhibits, a free tree and lunch, according to organizers.
