Homestead-Wakefield Makes Announcement About Monday

The Wakefield building at Homestead/Wakefield Elementary School will be closed on Monday, June 15, according to Harford County Public Schools.

The Homestead building will be open and activities there will continue as usual, school officials reported.

Students with classes in the Homestead building will have school Monday; students whose classes are in the Wakefield building will not have school on Monday.

Prekindergarten is canceled altogether at Homestead/Wakefield Elementary on June 15, school officials said Sunday.

Staff should report to school at the regular time.

The closure was due to a mechanical failure, according to the announcement from school officials. On Friday, the school closed early because of a mechanical failure.
