Horse Tangled In Fence Wiring Rescued By Firefighters, Special Ops Team In Harford County

Eeyore the horse became tangled in wire fencing but thanks to Level firefighters and county special ops team members, the horse was freed.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A horse named Eeyore became tangled in the wiring of his fence Monday around 10 a.m. and ended up being rescued by the Level Volunteer Fire Company and Harford County Department of Emergency Services special operations team and medic unit.

The rescuers headed to the 2400 block of Edwards Lane where they found Eeyore lying on its side. Crews confirmed the power to the fence had been turned off. They covered the horse and carefully cut the wire off of it.

Once freed, Eeyore was supplied with treats plus fresh and cool water. Then the horse was finally able to stand with some help and carefully moved to his barn. The owner called a veterinarian for an evaluation.
