A Joppa house fire has displaced three and caused $100K in damage, according to the State Office of the Fire Marshal.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A fire broke out at a home in Joppa Monday around 4:15 p.m. A Joppa-Magnolia volunteer firefighter had to help one of the residents escape the home and make his way to safer ground.
More than 30 firefighters from the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company battled the blaze, which took them approximately 20 minutes to contain. Investigators believe the fire started in the bedroom, but the cause remains under investigation with an electrical failure suspected, according to the State Office of the Fire Marshal.
The split-level single family home, located at 312 Springdale Court, sustained $100,000 in damage. The owner and his adult sons have been displaced because of the fire but are being helped by friends and family. No injuries were reported.
